Fall semester is defined as the period from August 16 to December 31 of the specified year.

Spring semester is defined as the period from January 1 to May 15 of the specified year.

Summer semester is defined as the period from May 16 to August 15 of the specified year.

Mid-semester Report

Please check your report today to ensure each student is on track to receive the intended tuition benefit. Report any problems to the Graduate School’s TBP office (x. 1-6020 or tuitionbenefit@gradschool.utah.edu).

 

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

Final TBP report is queried for the semester. If a student earned less than the minimum support amount required for the intended benefit, the % benefit will be reduced or cancelled. Students are responsible for any tuition due.  Now is the time to check reports for errors, even if you checked yesterday.

 

Friday, June 1, 2018

Spring 2018 overrides/corrections with documentation are due by 3 pm (to 302 Park or tuitionbenefit@gradschool.utah.edu).  Late overrides will require a letter from the department chair.

PeopleSoft Portal (Campus Information System) opens for Summer 2018 TBP data entry.

 

Friday, May 11, 2018

Initial TBP run for Summer 2018. Qualified students will receive a conditional tuition credit. The TBP report will now be run and updated nightly.

 

Friday, May 18, 2018

Graduate RA ePAFs due in HR to meet TBP deadline. Job code 9314 and payment from a 5000 fund are required for summer TBP eligibility. Eligible students must have also been an RA on TBP during either Fall or Spring of the 2017-18 academic year.

 

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

Tuition due. Students must pay their portion of their tuition (if any) by today at 5:00 pm. Last day for students to electronically sign the Graduate Tuition Benefit Approval form in CIS without incurring a late fee.

 

Monday, June 4, 2018

State Registration Census Deadline – Last chance to print signature sheets! Access to TBP data entry closes at 3:00 PM today. Please double check your TBP report and make all final additions and corrections. After 3:00 PM today no further data entry is allowed for the current semester.

 

Monday, June 11, 2018

TBP signature report, with original signature of Department Chair, is due in the Graduate School, 302 Park Building by NOON.

Mid-semester Report: Please check your report today to ensure each student is on track to receive the intended tuition benefit. Report any problems to the Graduate School’s TBP office (1-6020).

 

Thursday, August 23, 2018

Final TBP report is queried for the semester. The conditional tuition credit given at the beginning of the semester, based on the data entry of Anticipated Amount with total funding received is matched in PeopleSoft. If discrepancies occur, for instance: the actual amount corresponds to a lower tuition credit percentage than that initially entered, the lower percentage tuition credit is applied to the student’s account. Students identified with less funding than that entered will receive either a lesser or “0” tuition credit in their accounts. Students are responsible for any tuition due.
