Dr. King dedicated his life to improving the educational access and opportunity given to every person, and at the University of Utah we continue to strive toward those values. Martin Luther King, Jr. Week (MLK Week) has become a platform for engaging students, faculty, trainees, staff, and community members in critical conversations around race and contemporary civil rights issues in America. All are welcome to get involved and participate!
The Graduate School is offering free, non-credit professional development courses throughout the Spring 2026 semester. All courses are held in-person with a certificate of completion option for attending all classes in the series.
The Graduate School Office of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs established the Distinguished Mentor Award in 2006 to honor and encourage the considerable efforts and accomplishments of faculty who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the mentorship of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars
