Join the Office of Undergraduate Research for a crash course in mentoring undergraduate researchers. In this session, you’ll learn about principles of high-quality undergraduate research mentoring organized around the following competencies:

  1. maintaining effective communication;
  2. aligning expectations;
  3. assessing understanding;
  4. cultivating academic literacies;
  5. fostering independence; and
  6. promoting professional development.

This session will be facilitated by Megan Shannahan and Stephanie Shiver from the Office of Undergraduate Research.
