Who is AISES?
AISES aims to increase the number of American Indians and Alaskan Natives who study and work in fields related to engineering, science, and technology. They have been working towards this goal since 1977 by supporting Indigenous students, professionals, mentors, and leaders in STEM. AISES follows a "full circle of support" approach, starting with pre-college programs, continuing into college, and then throughout their professional careers and into retirement.

AMWA empowers women to lead in improving health for all within a model that reflects the unique perspective of women. AMWA helps support women premedical students, medical students, and physicians through their medical school careers and beyond.
Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)

Who is ALPFA?
ALPFA helps students pursue careers in various industries by empowering them to develop leadership skills through chapter management, delivering quality student programs for professional development, and providing access to our network of professionals and sponsors. We also offer scholarships and opportunities to network with fellow students. Through our National, Professional, and student chapters, we provide skill-building events, job and internship opportunities, and pathways to achieve our members' career aspirations.
Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA)

Who is LMSA?
LMSA wants to improve the health of underserved communities. Although they focus on the Latino community, they are willing to help any group in need, regardless of ethnicity, economic status, or other demographic factors. LMSA also mentors students who share their interest in helping underserved populations and want to pursue careers in the healthcare field.
Minority Law Caucus (MLC)

Who is MLC?
MLC is a student organization, at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, that welcomes students who are interested in promoting diversity in the legal profession and in the college. MLC helps recruit diverse students into the legal field, creates job opportunities, and connects students with mentors who can support them throughout their legal careers. They also host events like guest speakers, networking opportunities, and an annual fundraising auction. The money raised at the auction goes towards providing scholarships for diverse students at the College of Law.
Women in Physics and Astronomy (WomPA)

Who is WOMPA?
WomPA aims to promote the visibility of women by highlighting the scientific achievements of local scientists and participating in community outreach events aimed at encouraging young women in STEM fields. Its official mission is to create a sense of community among women in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, encourage networking and mentoring across disciplines and career stages, educate everyone about issues that are important for the advancement of women in STEM fields, and increase the visibility of women in physics and astronomy. WomPA welcomes any student, faculty, or staff member of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah, and all gender identities and expressions.

Who is WLC?
WLC aims to be a source of support, opportunity, and information for women and men in the community. The WLC focuses on issues that are of special concern to women and provides a platform for students to discuss legal community-related topics. Moreover, the WLC organizes activities that encourage participation in legal and women's issues.

Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA)
Who is BGSA?
BGSA was established in 2009 to provide vital resources and a sense of community for graduate and professional students of African descent at the University of Utah. The BGSA is founded on four principles: support, validation, network, and community, and aims to identify and address the needs of its members while offering opportunities for intellectual growth and celebrating Black achievements.
Graduate Women in Biomedical Engineering (GWBE)
Who is GWBE?
GWBE promotes diversity and equality in the field of biomedical engineering. They do this through community within the department and by offering opportunities for professional development and outreach. GWBE strives to create an inclusive environment where women and other bioengineering students can seek mentorship from peers and faculty, develop their careers with academic and industry professionals, and connect with the community through outreach and research dissemination.

Who is SACNAS?
SACNAS is a community that supports diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. They want to help scientists from underrepresented backgrounds succeed by helping them get advanced degrees, careers, and leadership positions in STEM. SACNAS at the University of Utah is a lively community, and they want people to join them in creating a safe and secure scientific community full of brilliant scientists. They aim to provide a comprehensive approach to STEM training by organizing events for professional development, cultural programming, resilience training, and support and mentoring within a national network.
