The Dissertation & Thesis Writing Boot Camp is back! This is a free 4-day event for University of Utah Graduate Students to dedicate time to write and work on their dissertation and thesis. Students are treated to a daily breakfast and will have opportunities to meet peers and receive writing support.
Eleven University of Utah graduate students were awarded the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) for 2021, the second-largest U cohort to date. The prestigious fellowship supports outstanding doctoral and research-based master’s students doing research in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Two University of Utah students have received highly competitive Fulbright U.S. Student Program grants from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board for the 2021-2022 academic year. Additionally, one student is designated as an Alternate.

The Broader Impacts (BI) criterion is an increasingly critical element for successful proposals. In this interactive workshop, researchers will learn about elements of BI, and receive guidance to develop innovative public engagement activities specific to their own research and personal interests that are innovative, executable, and can be rigorously evaluated.
