2025 Thomas G. Stockham Medal for Conspicuously Effective Teaching Winner: Sanaz Habibi
The Graduate School is pleased to announce the 2025 recipient of the Stockham Medal
for Conspicuously Effective Teaching: Sanaz Habibi!
Sanaz, a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry, was nominated for this award
in recognition of their outstanding achievement as a TA and undergraduate/graduate
student mentor. During the course of their many assignments as a TA, Sanaz demonstrated
a deep commitment to creating collaborative, professional and impactful educational
environments. Sanaz's creativity and perspective has impacted not only the courses
they assisted with but will continue to have an impact for future classes as the labs
and lectures they developed are still being used.
About the award:
The Stockham Medal for Conspicuousley Effective Teaching is awarded to one university student a year in recognition of exceptional teaching
achievement. Students are nominated by their faculty advisors or mentors and winners
of this honor receive a $5,000 Cash prize.
