Congratulations to our 2025 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Showcase Competition Finalists and Winners!

 On Friday, November 14th, 8 talented graduate students from across campus participated in the 2025 3MT Competition and Celebration Event and wowed the judges and attendees with 3-minute general audience presentations of their research using no data and a single static slide!  
 
The 2025 Showcase Competition Finalists included:

• Mickey Bolyard, Department of Health and Kinesiology 
• Garrett Collins, Department of Chemistry 
• Meghan Curtin, Department of Biochemistry 
• Angela Darko, Department of Chemical Engineering 
• Ola M. Fakorede, Department of Economics 
• Jordie Hoffman, Department of Anthropology 
• Prince Amankwah Baffour Minkah, Department of Molecular Pharmaceutics.  

An additional Congratulations to our 1st and two tied 2nd place winners!: 1st Place: Prince Amankwah Baffour Minkah ($1,000 cash prize; and will advance to represent the University of Utah at the regional 2026 WAGS 3MT Competition); 2nd place: Angela Darko and Ola M. Fakorede ($750 cash prize each). 

Finally, a big thank you to all of this year’s 3MT Competition Facilitators, First Round Postdoctoral Judges, Showcase Judges, and Graduate School Team members who contributed to a successful competition and showcase Celebration!
