The University Counseling Center is excited to announce several group offerings to students! Are you looking for a community to support you in your journey of personal growth and success? Loneliness and Connection

Monday, 3 - 4:30 PM, SSB

Explore concerns, clarify values & consider cultural factors in maximizing well- being by deepening interpersonal connection.

 

Men’s Self-Compassion

Monday, 3 - 4:30 PM, SSB

Men jointly explore masculinity & vulnerability through mindfulness & compassion instead of self-criticism, guilt & shame.

 

Ritual Rebels

Mondays, 1 - 2:30 PM, SSB

A group for individuals with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), aiming to offer a supportive space as each individual challenges themselves to disengage from their obsessive thoughts and gradually face their fears.

 

Just Roll With It: D & D and Therapy

Tuesday, 3:30 – 5 PM PM, SSB

Address interpersonal goals such as making connections, building trust, and deepening relationships while playing the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons.

Group explores who we are in relationships, and addresses chronic interpersonal stress caused by people pleasing, relationship anxiety and co-dependency.

 

Navigating Anxiety Together

This group offers a supportive environment where members learn evidence-based techniques to manage anxiety effectively.

 

Embody

Thursdays, 2 - 3:30 PM, SSB

A group for individuals seeking to empower themselves and heal their relationship with their bodies.

 

Substance Use and Harm Reduction

Wednesdays, 2 - 3:30 PM, SSB

Address substance (including alcohol) use concerns by learning evidence-based practice strategies aimed at reducing negative consequences.

 

Skills Group

Thursdays, 1 - 2:30 PM, virtual

Learn and practice coping skills for both short- term crisis and long- term growth, using practical strategies to improve well- being and relationships. Members must be in individual counseling.

 

Stretch Your Mind

Mondays, 1 -2:30 PM, SSB

An activity-based group primarily focusing on increasing flexibility, by practicing how to handle imperfection, change, lack of control and unexpected outcomes.

A space for graduate students to gather, connect, and support one another in navigating life at the U.

Healing Connections

A group for students who mourn the death of a loved one, providing a supportive space for grieving and healing.

 

Faith + Doubt

Wednesdays, 3 - 4 PM, virtual

For individuals questioning issues related to religion and faith. This group explores the impact of spiritual doubt on community, identity, and beliefs.

 

Beyond Binaries

Thursdays, 3:30 - 4 PM, in-person

This is a compassionate space for trans, gender non- conforming, nonbinary, and gender- queer folx to safely explore identity & create a supportive community. Exact location provided after registration.

 

Chai & Chat

Thursdays, 4 - 5pm, virtual

A safe space for international students to share their experiences and discuss difficulty, challenges and amusement.
