* Semesters are defined as follows:

Fall semester is defined as the period from August 16 to December 31 of the specified year.

Spring semester is defined as the period from January 1 to May 15 of the specified year.

Friday, January 8, 2021

Final TBP report is queried for the semester. If a student earned less than the minimum support amount required for the intended benefit, the % benefit will be reduced or canceled accordingly. Students are responsible for any tuition due.

Friday, January 22, 2021

Fall overrides/corrections are due by 5 pm (tuitionbenefit@gradschool.utah.edu). Late overrides will require a letter from the department chair.

SPRING 2021

Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 (usually six weeks prior to the start of the semester)

PeopleSoft Portal (Campus Information System) opens for Spring 2020 TBP data entry.

Deadline for including Graduate Fellows (GF’s) on your Spring Tuition Benefit list

Please make sure all of your GF’s are added to your tuition benefit list by this date.

Monday, January 11, 2021

Initial TBP run for Spring 2021. Qualified students will receive a conditional tuition credit and qualify for reimbursement of tuition paid by student loans. The TBP report will now be updated nightly.

Tuesday, January 12, 2021

TBP-Eligible Payroll Deadline: Graduate GA, RA, and TA ePAFs due in HR with all approvals.

Friday, January 29, 2021

Tuition is due. Students must pay their portion of tuition by today at 5:00 pm. Last day, students can electronically sign the Graduate Tuition Benefit Approval form in CIS without incurring a late fee.

Monday, February 8, 2021

State Registration Census Taken

Last chance to print signature sheets! Access to TBP closes at 3:00 pm today. Please double check your TBP report and make all final additions and corrections. After 3:00 pm today, no further data entry is allowed for the current semester. Please note that students’ insurance status entered in the TBP system will be reported to United HealthCare and EMI and cannot be changed after this date.

Mid-semester Report

Please check your report today to ensure each student is on track to receive the intended tuition benefit. Report any problems to the Graduate School’s TBP office (tuitionbenefit@gradschool.utah.edu)

The final TBP report is queried for the semester. If a student earned less than the minimum support amount required for the intended benefit, the % benefit would be reduced or canceled. Students are responsible for any tuition due. Now is the time to check reports for errors, even if you checked yesterday.

Spring 2021 overrides/corrections with documentation are due (tuitionbenefit@gradschool.utah.edu). Late override requests will require a letter of explanation from your department chair.
